Today I set about creating my Miracle Jar. A jar where everyday you write on a piece of paper what you are grateful for or the miracle that you experienced that day and then place it into the jar. At the end of the year you take out all your pieces of paper and review! You can also use it to review anytime during the year when you feel you need a bit of a pick me up to get you back on track and in a more positive frame of mind!
Creating My Miracle Jar
Step One...
The first thing I did was to gather all the things I would use. The Life Workbook has instructions and comes with the gorgeous label. I chose to use star stickers that I found at a $2 shop. They gorgeous and they have meaning to me. I also bought some glitter but in the end didn't use it.
Step Two...
If you plan to create your own Miracle Jar you can create your own label by drawing, colouring, painting, using glitter etc. I chose to use the one in the workbook and for the first time in my life I CUT A BOOK! I cut a book! Felt sooo guilty! Feeling soo guilty....
Step Three...
Glue on your label. I used PVA glue because that's all I had but it worked with no problems.
Step Four...
Add Stickers!
Step Five...
0Step back and admire your creation!
Then get out a pen and some paper and make it a habit to spend a few minutes at the end of your day thinking about the miracles that occurred and the things you were grateful for! Write them on your paper and add them to your jar.
I chose origami paper because of my goals to be more creative. Each day after I have written what I am grateful for, I find an origami tutorial and complete it! I'll show you some in the next blog!
